January: Garnet (Garnet can be any color, red to orange and even green, except blue.)
February: Amethyst (color ranges from light to dark purple.)
March: Aquamarine (light blue to clear in color.)
April: Diamond (Diamonds are mostly clear white but can be colored as well) only 3% of all diamonds can be treated to change color.
May: Emerald (ranges from a clear green to an opaque green)..
June: Alexandrite (the only true color change stone, can be purple to blue to green depending on the stone. A genuine alexandrite is more expensive than diamond and very hard to find).
July; Ruby (Rubies range from dark clear pink to opaque red.) The heart pendant shown above is set with marquise cut rubies.
August: Peridot (a vibrant green/yellow stone.) Peridot is a greatly under-appreciated stone with great depth of color.
September: Sapphire (comes in many colors the most popular and expensive is transparent deep blue.)
October: Opal (black, blue or white with irridescent flashes of fire, orange and yellow are called fire opal, or jelly opal which is clear with iridescent flashes of color in the depths of the stone.)
November: Topaz (Topaz can be treated to be all colors.)
December: Zircon, Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli (Zircon is a transparent stone that comes in blue, white, red and pink,: Turquoise is an opaque stone that is most known for its aqua color but comes in other colors as well such as cream and brown: Lapis Lazuli is also an opaque stone that comes in solid blue but can have gold flecks.)
